At Clarence House we believe that food and nutrition are two of the most important factors in the well being of our residents.
For a start good food is important for everyone's enjoyment of life and particularly so for the elderly and the frail. Good nutrition is vital for sustenance and recovery.
All of our food is freshly prepared on the premises by our own team of qualified cooks.
Each resident is individually assessed for their dietary needs, whether that be for medical or cultural requirements.
We monitor each resident's food intake to ensure sufficient nutrition and balance in their diet.
We use fresh local organic ingredients wherever possible including meats, fresh, never frozen fish, eggs, potatoes and other vegetables.
Meals can be taken in the dining room or in a resident's own bedroom whichever is their preference.
